The department has good infrastructure with Smart Classrooms, Independent laboratory to conduct B.Sc.and MSc practicals, Well equipped Lecture halls, Separate room for research scholars, Independent research laboratories to excel research findings.It provides excellent ambiance for teaching and learning activities. Members of the department enjoy unlimited Wi-Fi to update themselves in their quest for knowledge.
- Dr. B. Latha, Professor from Dept of Physics from Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Dr. MGR ERI has been selected for the "Aditya-L1 Teacher Training Workshop” organised by Aditya L1 support cell, a Joint initiative between ISRO and ARIES (Aryabhata Research Institute of observational sciencES) at Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) - Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai from 03-03-2025 to 05-03-2025. Cell. The deeper insights on Solar science, Aditya-L1 payloads, and Hands-on sessions on Python-based scientific data analysis of Aditya-L1 data belonging to Visual Emission Line Coronograph (VELC), Solar Ultraviolet Imaging Telescope, Solar Low-energy X-ray Spectrometer (SoLEXS), High Energy L1 Orbiting X-ray Spectrometer (HEL1OS) were infolded in the workshop.
