The Department of Cyber Security successfully hosted the grand inaugural ceremony of TECHASTRA’25 – THRONES, an event marked by intellectual rigor and professional distinction. The symposium served as a premier platform for aspiring security professionals to engage with industry stalwarts and explore the evolving landscape of digital resilience.
Inaugural Ceremony: Setting the Vision
The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Dhinakar Jacob Selwyn, Vice President & Global Head – Revitalization Unit, Financial Services at Capgemini, Chennai, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
In his inspiring inaugural address, Mr. Dhinakar Jacob Selwyn emphasized the critical intersection of innovation and technical excellence. He highlighted the necessity for future cyber security leaders to remain adaptable in an era of rapid technological shifts, encouraging students to build strong foundational skills to navigate the complexities of global financial and digital infrastructures.
We were equally privileged to welcome Ms. Supriya Menon, Director & Head of Learning Services – India & South Asia at Red Hat, Bengaluru, as our Guest of Honour. Her insights into learning transformation and industry-readiness provided a roadmap for students to align their academic research with global technology trends and open-source security standards.
