Summer Program at Asia University
The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Summer Program conducted at Asia University from 08th July 2024 to 24th July 2024 was a significant international academic initiative. The program was attended by students from the Departments of Information Technology of Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute.
Program aimed to enhance participants’ knowledge in Artificial Intelligence through global exposure, hands-on learning, and interaction with international experts. It provided an excellent platform for students and faculty to explore advanced AI concepts, research trends, and innovative applications in a global academic environment.
Department of Information Technology delighted to share that two of our students Ms. Geethanjali and Mr.Avinash heading to Taiwan for the International Summer School Program at Asia University.
Students actively participated in the Summer Program in Artificial Intelligence at Asia University, Taiwan.The program enriched their technical skills and provided valuable global exposure.
Summer Program on “Web Designing and Digital Storytelling”
Dr. Dahlia Sam, Professor in the Department of Information Technology at Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute, Chennai, participated in an international summer program on “Web Designing and Digital Storytelling” held at Asia University, Taiwan, from 5th to 27th July 2025.
The program provided hands-on training in modern web design technologies, user interface and user experience (UI/UX) principles, and creative digital storytelling techniques. It also offered opportunities for collaboration with international participants, fostering cross-cultural understanding and global academic networking. The experience was further enriched by interactive sessions, group projects, and cultural immersion activities.
The program significantly strengthened the research collaborations with professors in Asia University while establishing valuable international academic connections
TechFusion Global Immersion Program 2025
TechFusion Global Immersion Program 2025 Hosted by UCSI University, Malaysia.The TechFusion Global Immersion Program is an elite 5-day academic and cultural residency Tailored for Engineering and IT students, the program—themed “Securing the Future: AI-Driven Innovations and Ethical Cybersecurity Frameworks”—combines high-level academic sessions with real-world industry visits. Participants explore cutting-edge topics including AI-driven threat detection, autonomous system ethics, and global data privacy (GDPR).
The Department of Information Technology is proud to share that seven students participated in an international Mobility Programme at UCSI University, Malaysia, from October 3 to 7.The 5-day programme focused on Information Technology, Digital Innovation, Artificial Intelligence, and IoT, providing students with valuable global exposure, hands-on learning, and cross-cultural experience.Participants included five final-year and two pre-final-year students, who benefited from this enriching international academic opportunity.
Our students took their learning beyond the classroom, embarking on an immersive city tour as part of our ongoing Mobility Program. This excursion was designed to blend cultural appreciation with architectural and historical exploration.
The students were awarded certificates for successfully participating in the International Mobility Programme at UCSI University, Malaysia.
