Department Laboratories

Our Biomedical Engineering Department is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories that offer a research-integrated learning environment. These facilities are designed to introduce students to foundational and advanced biomedical techniques within the context of emerging research domains. Each laboratory provides hands-on experience through modular learning formats, allowing students to explore real-world applications of theoretical concepts across a range of biomedical specializations

List of Laboratories:

Biosensors and Transducers Laboratory

This lab enables students to explore the fundamentals of physiological signal detection through transduction mechanisms. Emphasis is placed on understanding the principles of measurement systems, types and behaviors of transducers, and error analysis. Learners gain familiarity with a variety of sensors and their biomedical applications.

Key Equipment Includes:

Diagnostic and Therapeutic Equipment Laboratory

This facility introduces students to medical instrumentation used in clinical diagnostics and therapeutic interventions. Through hands-on exploration, learners understand the functionality and clinical relevance of devices used in patient monitoring, electrical stimulation, respiratory diagnostics, and physiotherapy.

Key Equipment Includes:

Biomedical Signal Processing Laboratory

Focusing on the acquisition and analysis of physiological signals, this lab offers exposure to real-time data acquisition systems and digital signal processing techniques. Students work on extracting clinically relevant information from biosignals such as ECG, EMG, and EEG using computational tools.

Facilities and Tools Include:

Anatomy and Human Physiology Laboratory

Designed to support foundational knowledge in human biology, this lab allows students to visualize and understand the structure and functions of major organ systems. Life-size anatomical models provide insight into musculoskeletal, nervous, cardiovascular, and sensory systems.

Available Models:

Biochemistry Laboratory

This laboratory supports the study of biochemical pathways and diagnostic assays related to human health and disease. Students gain practical experience in sample analysis, colorimetry, spectrophotometry, and biochemical testing essential for clinical diagnostics.
