Dr. U. Jayalatsumi, Head of the Department, and Dr. B. Bhuvaneswari, Professor, acted as Resource Persons at the International Conference on ‘Empowering Sustainable Futures.
Mr. Naren Karthikeyan, II Year ECE, participated in the Global Immersion Program and Internship at UCSI University, Malaysia, gaining valuable international academic exposure. The program helped him enhance his technical knowledge, practical skills and global learning experience through interaction with international faculty and students.
Ms. Harshavardhini, IV Year ECE, participated in the Student Mobility Programme at MAHSA University, Malaysia, gaining international academic exposure. The program enhanced her technical knowledge, cultural understanding and global learning experience.
Ms. Nishanthini, II Year ECE, secured First Place at the RYLA – Young Entrepreneurial Workshop, earning recognition as the emerging winner and a free trip to Singapore. She was appreciated and recognized by our Honourable President for her outstanding achievement
HACKATHON
Ms. Mohana Divya S. (IV–B) and Mr. Shiva Guru (IV–C) secured the 3rd Prize in Hackatronics 2.0, a 36-hour Hackathon conducted by Anurag University, Hyderabad on 20–21 February 2026, based on the theme VLSI using Cadence Tool.
Students Participated in the Quantum Hackathon, organized as part of Teckzite’25 at Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies, held on 28–29 December 2025. The event provided exposure to innovative problem-solving and collaborative technical development.
Students of ece participated in PROTHON 2K25, a 24-Hour National Hackathon organized by the Department of ECE at Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science on 4th & 5th December 2025. The event provided exposure to innovative problem-solving, teamwork and real-time technical challenges.
INTERNSHIP
Ms. Devakiram M., Final Year ECE, successfully completed an internship at the Microwave Tube Research & Development Centre (MTRDC), DRDO, Bengaluru. During the internship, she worked on the project titled “Analysis of Slow Wave Structures for High Power Microwave Devices.”
TRAINING PROGRAMS
Students Participatedin the One Day Training Program on “Digital VLSI Design Using Cadence EDA Tools” organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at B. S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology on 12 September 2025.The program enhanced her understanding of VLSI design concepts and practical implementation using Cadence tools.
Students of IV Year ECE, participated in the IEEE CASS Six Days Seasonal School on “Embedded Sustainability: IoT and AI-Powered FPGA Designs for Global Development Goals.”The program was organized by Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr. Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai, from 14–19 July 2025, enhancing his knowledge in IoT, AI, and FPGA design.
Students participated in the Six-Day STTP on “360° Development through Motivation, Research and Innovation in Microelectronics and VLSI” organized by the Department of ECE at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur, from 21–26 July 2025. The program enhanced his knowledge in Microelectronics, VLSI design, and research-oriented innovation.
WORKSHOP
Students of ece participated in the “Generative AI and Advanced Machine Learning” Workshop organized by KCG College of Technology on 26th–27th September 2025.
The workshop enhanced his knowledge in Generative AI, Machine Learning concepts, and their practical applications.
Students of ece participated in the “DeepLens Building the Brains Behind Smart Apps” organized by SCOPE on on 16/09/2025 at Vellore Institute of Technology,Chennai
A IV Year Electronics and Communication Engineering student from Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute, a partner institute of PALS 2025–26, successfully participated in the PALS Think2Impact – Industry Problem Solving Workshop. The program, organized by PALS in association with Naandi Foundation, was held on January 20, 2026, at Jeppiaar Institute of Technology, Chennai, providing exposure to real-world industry problem solving and experiential learning.
CONFERENCES
Students from the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering participated in the International Conference on “Empowering Sustainable Futures” at Rajagiri Vishwajyothi College of Arts and Applied Science. During the conference, they presented their project work, showcasing innovative ideas and research contributions.
Students of final year ece presented a paper titled “Modelling Satellite Orbit Decay and Controlled Reentry Using Empirical Atmospheric Drag Models” at the 6th Global Conference for Advancement in Technology (GCAT) 2025, held from 24–26 October 2025.
SYMPOSIUM
II Year ECE students participated in the Symposium at S.A. Engineering College, where they actively took part in the Wire Zup and Mentor–Mentee events. The participation provided them with valuable exposure to technical skills, teamwork and competitive learning.
Mr. M. Naveen Kumar, II Year ECE, participated in the National Symposium conducted by Gojan School of Business and Technology. He actively took part in various events including Bike Parts Assembly, Code Nexus, and CAD Modelling, gaining valuable technical exposure.
