Day 2 focused on understanding basic human aspirations, the distinction between continuous happiness and temporary physical facilities, and the concept of harmony at the levels of self, family, and society. Day 3 concluded with valedictory insights emphasizing the integration of universal human values into curriculum design, research practices, and professional responsibilities. Resource persons stressed the importance of trust, respect, right evaluation, and co-existence as foundational principles for sustainable development.

The programme provided clarity on the distinction between value education and skill development, enabling faculty members to incorporate human values effectively into data science education. This AICTE initiative aligns with NAAC and NBA standards, promoting holistic faculty development.

Event Summary

The Data Science Department, in association with AUDI, conducted a Faculty Development Program for non-teaching staff on 6 February 2026 to enhance awareness of artificial intelligence tools applicable to office administration and digital communication. The program commenced with an address by Dr. T. KirubaDevi, Head of the Department, who highlighted the growing relevance of AI in improving workplace efficiency and enabling smarter administrative practices . The sessions were presented through student-led demonstrations covering the fundamentals of artificial intelligence, AI applications for PDF and Excel tasks, AI-supported content creation, presentation and poster design, social media handling, and AI-based claiming processes. The event offered a practical learning platform for participants to understand how digital tools can support documentation, communication, and routine office functions. A total of 24 non-teaching staff members from 14 departments participated, gaining useful exposure to contemporary AI-enabled workflows relevant to institutional administration.

The session featured interactive components including live demonstrations of AI concepts by senior undergraduate students, a creative poster-making activity focusing on AI in everyday life and future societal impact, and expert guidance on academic and skill development trajectories.
