About the Department
Established in 2025, the Department of Aviation Management at Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute – Deemed to be University marks a significant milestone in aviation-focused higher education. The department was founded to address the growing global demand for skilled aviation professionals by delivering academically strong, industry-driven, and professionally relevant programs.
The department offers B.Sc. Aviation, Certificate Courses in Aviation, BBA (Specialization in Aviation Management), and MBA Aviation & Airport Management, designed to cater to both operational and managerial roles across the aviation ecosystem. The curriculum integrates aviation operations, airport and airline management, safety and security, regulatory frameworks, customer service, cargo and logistics, and aviation business strategy, ensuring holistic professional development.
With strong industry collaboration, experienced faculty, and modern training infrastructure, the department aims to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world aviation operations.
