Genesis of the Department
- MCA courses were offered from 1994
- BCA courses were offered from 2013
- Affiliated to University of Madras from 1994 to 2001
- Affiliated to Anna University from 2002 to 2003
- Elevated as Deemed University from 2003 & University from 2006
- MCA course offered from 1994 with approval from AICTE
- Accredited by NBA-B grade from 2002 to 2007
- UGC approved academic PG courses and Ph.D. programme
- Curriculum standards equal to top universities like IIT, Anna University, University of Madras
