36th Convocation (Phase-I)
Dear Graduands,
We are glad to inform you that the 36th Convocation of Dr.M.G.R Educational and Research Institute, University will be held in two phases, the first phase is scheduled on 15th September 2026 (Tuesday) at 10.30 am in A.C.S. Convention Centre, A.C.S. Medical College and Hospital, Campus Velappanchavadi, Chennai – 600 077.

- Ph.D. Graduands from the Above Faculty
Instructions for Registration
All Graduands are requested visit our Alumni Network Portal Almaconnect. If you are already a member of Almaconnect, you can register to participate in this convocation.
If you are not a member of Almaconnect, first become a member and then proceed with the registration. Online registration is compulsory to participate in this convocation. The last date for online registration for first Phase convocation is 08.09.2026 at 5.00 p.m.
Instructions to be followed on the day of Convocation
- Graduands only belonging to the above programme need to register and report on the day of the convocation.
- Graduands can start reporting at their department Registration counters from 07.30 am onwards and obtain their entry pass. After 10.30 am issuing of entry pass will be closed.
- Graduands are instructed to occupy their allotted seat at the venue before 10.30 am. Late commers will not be permitted inside.
- Graduands are requested to bring ID proof or any other proof issued by Dr.M.G.R Educational and Research Institute.
- Graduands should collect entry pass and food coupon at the respective department registration counters. They should occupy only the seats allotted to them during convocation.
- Being a Solemn function Graduands are requested to keep the decorum of the function.
- For accompanying persons separate limited number seating are arranged. Maximum of 2 numbers of guests per graduands will be permitted. At the time of online registration please furnish the details of accompanying persons. Seating will be allotted on a first-come, first served basis. However, the arrangements will be made to see the convocation through the LED walls outside the convocation centre.
- Graduands are requested to stand up when the V.V.I.Ps procession enters the venue and remain in standing position till all the members are seated. In the same way while V.V.I.Ps leaving convocation hall the after the function also Graduands are requested to stand
- Graduands should occupy their respective seats after receiving the degree certificates.
- Graduands should stand in their designated place during oath ceremony.
