Dr. MGR–ACS Space Tech Centre of Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute, Dr. MGR–ACS CanSat Team successfully participated in the Grand Finale of the CanSat India Student Competition 2024–25, organized by IN-SPACe and ISRO at Tumkuhirai, Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, from October 26–30, 2025. Mr. Pranava Kumar I, IV Yr from Department of Information Technology was part of the team.
Our talented students of IT department – Mr. Ramkumar S, Mr. Uvanesh, Ms. Farhat, Ms. Sakthipriya, Ms. Steffy Florance from IV yr and Ms,Varshini and Ms. Aruna from 3rd yr – successfully completed the Global Mobility Programme at UCSI University, Malaysia. They were honored and appreciated by our President for their outstanding participation and global learning experience.
Our student Ms. N.Jeevitha from 2ndyr won the second prize in Essay competition organised by the Office of the Principal Commisioner of Central GST & Central Excise, Chennai North Commissionerate during Vigilance Awareness Week 2025!
Congratulations to our student Mr. I. Pranavakumar and his team for securing 3rd place at the National Infosys PALS TechZooka Hackathon Finals held at Infosys, Mahindra city in Chennai! His innovative AI solution stood out among 82 teams. Our faculty member Dr. Dahlia Sam was his mentor.
Our IT department students Mr. Adhi Ganesh, Mr. R. Aravind, Mr. R. Lokesh, Mr. Suekesh and Mr. Yogeswaran of final year successfully participated in Volleyball competition and got 1st prize in Saveetha University.
Our IT students enthusiastically participated in cultural fest RAIN 25’ and got 1st prize in Intra college group dance competition
Our final year students Mr. Jaswanth and Ms. Anusha presented a paper titled Financial Fraud detection with AI and got 1st prize in GRT Institute of Engineering and Technology
Ramkumar S – Btech IT, Final yr & Kaviyarasan K – Btech IT 3rd yr, participated in both the AI prompting and Idea Box – 30 min Hackathon as part of ZENSYRA 2K26, a National Level Technical Symposium conducted as part of AGNI FEST ’26 by the Department of Information Technology at Agni College Of Technology. They won 2nd place in both competitions
Our students Ramkumar S – Btech IT, Final yr & Kaviyarasan K – Btech IT 3rd yr, took part in Code Rift Hackathon at VelTech University and won the 2nd place.
Our department student team “Static Squad” received the Top 5 Appreciation Award out of 40 Teams at the National Level IDEATHON 2026 conducted by S.A. Engineering College. The problem statement given was about creating awareness and improving accessibility of Tamil Nadu government schemes in rural areas. The team Members were Jashwanth G & Dharania T of Iv Yr and Sriram S & Sanjay S.K of III Year IT.
