34th Convocation (Phase-II)
Dear Graduands,
We are glad to inform you that the 34th Convocation – Phase II of Dr.M.G.R Educational and Research Institute, University is scheduled on 04th February 2026 (Wednesday) at 02.00 p.m. in A.C.S. Convention Centre, A.C.S. Medical College and Hospital, Campus Velappanchavadi, Chennai – 600 077.
Graduands of the following faculty will be participating in this convocation
- Faculty of Engineering & Technology
- Faculty of Architecture
- Faculty Humanities & Sciences
- Faculty of Law
- Faculty of Education
- Faculty of Hotel Management, Culinary Arts and De-Novo Courses
- Faculty of Commerce
- Ph.D. of the above faculties
Instructions for Registration
All Graduands are requested visit our Alumni Network Portal Almaconnect. If you are already a member of Almaconnect, you can register to participate in this convocation.
If not, please become a member first and then proceed with the registration. Online registration is compulsory to participate in this convocation. The last date for online registration for the Phase II convocation is 31.01.2026 at 05.00 p.m.
On the day of convocation (04.02.2026) all graduands should report to their concerned departments counters to obtain entry pass.
Instructions to be followed on the day of Convocation
- Graduands belonging only to the above-mentioned programmes are required to report on the day.
- Graduands may begin reporting at their respective department registration counters between 10:00 a.m. to 01:00 p.m. obtain their entry pass.
- After 01:30 p.m. entry passes will not be issued.
- Graduands are instructed to occupy their allotted seats at the venue before 02:00 p.m. Late comers will not be permitted inside.
- Graduands are requested to bring a valid identity proof issued by Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute along with a Government-issued ID card (such as Aadhaar, Driving Licence, etc.).
- Graduands should collect their entry pass and food coupon from the respective department registration counters and must occupy only the allotted seats.
- For accompanying persons, a limited number of seats are arranged. Seating will be allotted on a first-come, first served basis.
- Graduands are requested to stand when the procession enters the venue and remain standing until all dignitaries are seated and same should be repeated during exit procession also.
- Being a solemn function, the graduands are requested to maintain the decorum (avoid unnecessary movements, discussions & grouping)
- Graduands should stand in their designated place during the oath ceremony.
