CPS Tech Summit

The CPS Tech Summit 2025 was successfully organized by the Center of Excellence in Cyber Physical Systems (COE–CPS), Department of Information Technology, Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute, on 9–10 December 2025. The two-day summit brought together academicians, industry experts, and students for knowledge sharing, innovation, and hands-on learning in the field of Cyber Physical Systems.

The inaugural session began with a welcome address by Dr. N. Kanya, Head – IT & Dean (Student Affairs). The vision and initiatives of the Centre of Excellence in Cyber Physical Systems were presented by Dr. Dahlia Sam, Head, Center of Excellence in Cyber Physical Systems, followed by the introduction of the Chief Guest. The inaugural address was delivered by Dr. Neelanarayanan, who highlighted the growing importance of Cyber Physical Systems and emerging technologies. Felicitation addresses by Dr. V. Cyril Raj and Dr. Ethiraj appreciated the initiative and emphasized the role of such centres in promoting research and innovation. A key highlight of the inauguration was the release of the first issue of the COE newsletter, IntelliFusion, by the Honorable President, Shri. A.C.S. Arun Kumar.

The summit featured a range of technical and creative activities. A hands-on 3D Designing and Printing Workshop was conducted by industry experts and alumni, offering practical exposure to students. A technical seminar on recent advancements in Cyber Physical Systems was delivered by the Chief Guest. An Ideathon competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of various colleges, who presented innovative solutions to real-world challenges.

On the second day, students participated in the “Reel IT” competition, showcasing technical concepts through creative short videos. The workshop sessions continued, providing participants with extended hands-on learning opportunities.

The summit saw active participation from students, faculty, and external institutions, making it a vibrant platform for learning and collaboration. The event marked a significant milestone for the newly established COE–CPS and reflected the institution’s commitment to fostering innovation, research, and industry engagement.
