The Placement and Training Cell of Dr. M.G.R University was set up with the single goal of helping the student community for getting them placed in Industries according to their skill and ability of the respective student. In the span of twenty five years the Placement cell has achieved exponential growth and success. The students of our University are working not only in India but also abroad with the first footing got with the assistance of Placement Cell. The Placement and Training Cell with its association with the Department coordinators, constantly involves in suggesting changes in curriculum and syllabus for enhancing the knowledge and skill of students to meet the industry expectations. The Cell focuses on Training Programmes for employable candidates, where students are exposed to Aptitude Tests, Psychometric Tooling Tests before moving onto Personality Development, Interpersonal Skills, Group Presentation and Resume Writing Skills. The University has an excellent track record in placement not only in leading software companies like TCS, IBM, Infosys, Accenture, HCL, Caritor, Polaris, Wipro, L&T Infotech, Satyam etc, but also in major Industries as can be seen from the records of students placed. Many Seminars, Workshops, and special lectures are periodically conducted by bringing industrial experts, professional associates and Technical societies to familiarize the students with the latest demands.
