DAY 1

The Department of Commerce successfully organized WARRIORS – 2K26, an Inter-Collegiate Commerce Fiesta.
25.02.26 ( Wednesday ) – Day – 1,  forenoon session. The event served as a vibrant  cultural platform, encouraging students to exhibit their talents, creativity, and competitive spirit.
The programme was graced by the presence of the Head of the Department, the Additional Head of the Department,   We were privileged to have Farhan as the Chief Guest, Super Singer 2011,  for the occasion.  Program started with lighting the
‘ Kuthuvilaku ‘. The Welcome Address was delivered by Dr. R. Padmapriya, who formally inaugurated the event and welcomed the gathering.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Farhan, Super Singer 2011,delivered an inspiring and motivational address, emphasizing the importance of passion, perseverance, and dedication in achieving success. He further captivated the audience with his mesmerizing voice, creating an energetic and memorable atmosphere for all present. Dr. Arunachalam, Dean (Academic), Phase II, and  Dr. J. Brinda – Joint Registrar,  and Dr. Sathyanarayanan –  Director H & S, attended the function as the Guest of Honour and extended their encouragement to the participants.
Students from various colleges actively participated in the events and showcased exceptional talents across different competitions. The performances were evaluated by the Chief Guest, and prizes were awarded to the winners.

DAY 2

26.02.26 ( Thursday ) – Day – 2,  Afternoon session. The event served as a vibrant  cultural platform, encouraging students to exhibit their talents, creativity, and competitive spirit.
The programme was graced by the presence of the Head of the Department, the Additional Head of the Department,   We were privileged to have Farhan as the Chief Guest, makeup artist Ms. Madhumitha,  for the occasion.
The Chief Guest, Ms.Madhumitha, makeup artist,delivered an inspiring and motivational address, emphasizing the importance of passion, perseverance, and dedication in achieving success. He further captivated the audience with his mesmerizing voice, creating an energetic and memorable atmosphere for all present. Dr. Arunachalam, Dean (Academic), Phase II, and  Dr. J. The participants painted beautiful designs such as animals, nature themes, national symbols, and cartoon characters. The colors used were bright and attractive. The judges appreciated the students for their imagination, neatness, and confidence.
The competition helped students to improve their artistic skills and self-confidence. It was an enjoyable and memorable event for everyone.
The performances were evaluated by the Chief Guest, and prizes were awarded to the winners.

The Department of Commerce successfully organized CONNEXIONS as part of WARRIORS – 2K26, the Inter-Collegiate Commerce Fiesta, on 26.02.2026 (Thursday) – Afternoon Session. The event served as an exciting platform for students to demonstrate their creativity, coordination, spontaneity, and team spirit through engaging and competitive rounds.

The programme was honoured by the presence of the distinguished Chief Guests, Mr. Vasanth, Choreographer, and Ms. Madhumitha, Makeup Artist. Their presence added vibrancy and professional insight to the event. The session commenced with a warm welcome to the dignitaries and participants, setting an enthusiastic tone for the competitions that followed.

A total of 15 teams from various colleges actively participated in the event. The competition was conducted in two challenging rounds, designed to test the participants’ analytical thinking, teamwork, creativity, and communication skills. Each round was structured to engage the audience while encouraging healthy competition among the teams.

The performances were carefully observed and evaluated by the Chief Guests, who appreciated the innovative approaches and energetic participation of the contestants. After a keen and fair assessment, the winners and runners were announced.

CONNEXIONS concluded on a high note, marking yet another successful segment of WARRIORS – 2K26. The event highlighted the Department of Commerce’s continued commitment to nurturing talent, enhancing collaborative learning, and promoting inter-collegiate interaction. The enthusiastic participation of students and the valuable presence of the Chief Guests made the afternoon session both memorable and impactful.

We express our sincere gratitude to the Revered Chairman, Dr. A.C. Shanmugam, Honourable President, Er. A.C.S. Arun Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Dr. S. Geethalakshmi, Registrar, Dr. C.B. Palanivelu, and Additional Registrar, Dr. Malini Pande, for their visionary leadership and continuous support in organizing such meaningful academic initiatives.

A heartfelt thanks to our Joint Registrar, Dr. G. Brindha (E&S Campus), for her constant encouragement and guidance, which continue to motivate the department to conduct impactful and student-centric programmes.

DAY 3

He Department of Commerce, Dr. MGR Educational and Research Institute, successfully organized Warrior 2026, a grand three-day Inter Collegiate Fiesta filled with enthusiasm, creativity, and competitive spirit. The event witnessed active participation from students across various departments and institutions.

Day 1 – Inauguration & Solo Singing Competition
The first day of Warrior 2026 commenced on an auspicious note with Tamil Thai Vazhthu, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing knowledge and prosperity.

The dignitaries were warmly welcomed by Dr. Padmapriya, Head of the Department of Commerce. The inaugural function was graced by:

Dr. Brindha, Joint Registrar, E & S Campus
Dr. Satyanarayanan, Director, H & S Campus
Ms. Geetha Lakshmi, Additional Head of the Department
The Chief Guest for the first day was , renowned playback singer and Super Singer 11 fame, who judged the Solo Singing Competition.

A total of 10 participants showcased their vocal talent. The event was coordinated by Ms. Sugitha and Mr. Suresh Kumar, Academic Coordinators.

First Prize – Dhanush (B.Com III Year)
Second Prize – Bhuvaneswaren (B.Sc)
The first day concluded with melodious performances and overwhelming appreciation from the audience.

Day 2 – Brand Beats, Connexion & Face Painting
The second day began with the energetic Brand Beats Competition. The judges for the event were Mr. Vasanth (Choreographer) and Ms. Madhumitha, Celebrity Makeup Artist.

First Prize – Amirthavarshini & Rasika (B.Com III Year)
Second Prize – Noorulla & Santhosh
The event in-charges were Mr. Kandasamy and Ms. Kamala.

Afternoon Session
In the afternoon, Connexion and Face Painting Competitions were conducted.

Connexion Competition
There were 15 groups that participated enthusiastically.

Winners – Haritha & Prarthana (B.Com III Year)
Runners – Santhosh & Sharukesh
The event was coordinated by Ms. Saranya and Ms. Malini.

Face Painting Competition
Three groups participated with creative and artistic presentations.

Winners – Kruthika & Shabana (Law Department)
Runners – Srinithya & Pavithra (Fashion Design Department)
The event in-charges were Ms. Prabha and Ms. Jayanthi.

The second day ended with vibrant participation and creative excellence.

Day 3 – Rhythm Crew & Valedictory Function
The third day commenced with the high-energy Rhythm Crew Competition, where three groups participated.

The judges for this event were:

Mr Ilango,  Actor,  Mr Madan,  Actor, Mr Alan strak, Actor &Choreographer,
The event was coordinated by Dr. Pradeepa and Ms. Amudha.

First Prize – Norulla Group (Third year B.Com Department)
Runner-up – Girls Group (First year B Com Department)
Following the competition, certificates were distributed to all winners and runners. The certificate distribution team was led by Dr. Taher and Ms. Rubee Shantha Mary.

Acknowledgement
The success of Warrior 2026 was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the Discipline Committee Members:

Mr. Pavun Kumar, Mr. Balaji, Mr. Madhavan, Dr. Subbu Raidu, Mr. Boopalan, Mr. Kandasamy, Dr. Govindarajalu, Mr. Sabapathi, and Ms. Sukitha.

Their continuous support ensured smooth conduct and discipline throughout the three-day fiesta.

Valedictory Function
Dr Padmapriya, head, the department of commerce thanked Dr AC Shanmugam, Founder & Chancellor , Er AC Arun Kumar, Dr S Viswanathan, Rector, Dr S Geetha Lakshmi, Vice Chancellor, Dr C B Palanivelu, Registrar, Dr Brindha Joint Registrar for their constant support and encouragement. The Valedictory Function marked the grand conclusion of Warrior 2026. The event concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Saranya, expressing gratitude to the management, dignitaries, participants, judges, faculty members, student coordinators, and volunteers for their wholehearted support and contribution.

Warrior 2026 stood as a remarkable platform that fostered talent, teamwork, leadership, and creativity among students, making it a grand success.
