A special session titled “Need for Innovation” was organized in 2020 to inspire students to develop an innovative mindset and understand the significance of creativity in engineering and entrepreneurship. The session was delivered by Dr. Rama Vaidyanathan, Director of the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Centre of Excellence in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute.

Dr. Rama Vaidyanathan provided valuable insights into the importance of innovation and its role in addressing real-world challenges. She elaborated on the process of product development, emphasizing how innovative ideas can be transformed into successful and sustainable products.
