The Department of Data Science, in collaboration with the Office of International Relations, organized an international seminar on “The Role of Responsible AI in Industrial Revolution 5.0” on 18.02.2026. The session featured Dr. Joseph Emerson Raja, HRDF Certified Trainer and Senior Lecturer, Multimedia University, Malaysia, as the Chief Guest. He delivered an insightful address on responsible artificial intelligence, ethical considerations, and the relevance of human-centric AI in emerging industries. The seminar provided students and staff members with an academic perspective on the responsible use of AI in industrial transformation and future workplaces. The discussion also emphasized the importance of accountability, fairness, and ethical decision-making in AI-driven systems. An interactive session followed the lecture, enabling participants to clarify concepts and engage in meaningful dialogue. The seminar strengthened awareness of responsible AI practices and contributed to the academic enrichment of the participants.
