Technology needs to serve good pedagogy by itself. The high-tech smart classroom is an active learning lab designed with tables and interactive whiteboards and smart boards around the perimeter of the room which become powerful pedagogical tools. The students come together in a shared space to create, manipulate, and discuss meaning around a canvas wherein the environments becomes an immersive-learning. The interactive surfaces become a shared perceptual space where the students discuss the meaning and clarify and come to a collective understanding in a digital workspace.
